Creative Statement Drafts and Final

First Draft

I am a dedicated and determined individual with a vibrant personality. A creative mind with a passion for illustration, specialising in children’s book illustration. I have experience in Adobe Design Software, mostly using Photoshop and Illustrator

I’m a fast learner, quick to grasp new ideas and concepts, but equally as eager to offer my enthusiasm in a team setting as well as independently. I’m a diligent and hard-working person, who is committed to developing my professional and personal life.

This first draft of my personal statement is the one I normally would use for my CV so it's professional and is straight to the point. However, I do think that I could add more personality in there even if I use this for my CV. 

Second Draft 

I am a freelance illustrator based in Staffordshire. I specialise in writing and illustrating children’s books. As well as this, I also enjoy designing prints, greeting cards and book covers. I work with a range of mediums, but I love when I combine both traditional and digital illustration together. In my spare time I help to run the charitable organisation, Trust Bruce Foundation, I contribute to this by managing social media and content creation.

My second draft has more personality as I add in what I do in my spare time and what kind of work I like creating. However, I still don't think it's as personal or friendly as it could be. In the next draft I might introduce myself more. 

Third Draft 

Hey there, I'm Amy! I am a freelance illustrator based in Staffordshire. I love to create exciting and playful artwork, specialising in children's illustrations. I also enjoy designing greeting cards and book covers. I have a great eye for detail when it comes to my illustrations. They are usually created digitally however, I work with a range of mediums especially when I'm working on commissions! In my spare time, I help to run a charitable organisation known as the Trust Bruce Foundation, I contribute to this by managing the social media and content creation. 

This draft is a lot more friendlier and has a lot more personality too! But I feel like I could still add a little bit extra about what I do in my spare time. I love watching musicals so I could include that. 

Fourth Draft/ Final Creative Statement 

Hey there, I'm Amy! I am a freelance illustrator based in Staffordshire. I have a playful and exciting style when it comes to my artwork. I specialise in children's illustrations but I also enjoy designing greeting cards, prints and book covers. I have a great eye for detail when it comes to my illustrations. My preferred medium is digital illustration, however, I also like to work with a range of mediums, especially when I'm working on commissions! 

In my spare time, I help to run a charitable organisation known as the Trust Bruce Foundation, I contribute to this by managing the social media and content creation. Outside of the studio, my favourite thing to do is to frequent the theatre to watch musicals and plays.  I have a large collection of programmes and tickets which I hope will continue to grow! As well as this, I love a good cup of tea and taking walks with my mum and our dog Tilly!  

 This is my favourite draft so far and will most likely be my final draft. Although it's longer than the others, I still think it's got the qualities of being direct and to the point with a more personalised ending. The person reading this will have a closer look into my life and what I love to do.
