Website Research
Examples of Illustrators websites

Here's Chloe Breeze's Website. It is bright and colourful without being to distracting from the artwork. On her first page she has products she sells on her shop and the artworks. Her links on her website are "Home, About, Shop, Custom Illustrations, Murals and Weddings". So as you can tell from the start it shows she can create a range of work.

This is Lucy Cashmore's Art Website. Similar to Chloe Breeze's website, she has her products from her shop on the front page. Then she has a link to her "Art Prints, Portfolio, Textiles and Drawings". Because her artwork is bright and colourful she uses a white background so that her art work isn't too distracting.

Charlotte Leadley uses bright colours in her work so doesn't use a coloured background. It seems to be a running theme for each of these illustrators to keep their website simple but the artwork interesting. However, Leadley uses her front page to show her illustrations, rather than her shop. This is something that I will do with my website. At the top of her page she has "Illustration, About, Contact, Instagram, Shop"

Finally, here's Kate Slater's page. Her Home page is a selection of projects she has worked on. Mostly being children's books. This is where I strive to be in the future and what I want my website to look like in 5 years. Like the other illustrator's I have chosen to research for the website, Kate Slater uses a white background to allow her illustrations and projects to stand out. At the top of the page she has links to her "Home, Projects, Shop, Blog, Contact, About"
