CV- Old Cv, thumbnails and mock-ups
Previous CV
As you can see, this CV is old and clearly meant for part time jobs for a sales assistant or a waitress. It still has all of my grades from GCSE and it also hasn't got my new jobs and achievements. I last updated this at the start of April 2021. It isn't interesting and doesn't sell me as an illustrator. So, when designing my new CV, I will make it more bright, make it so it stands out and targets publishing agencies.
Thumbnails of New CV
Here's a few thumbnails of CV designs. The ones that look most effective would be the top right and the bottom left. Having the self portrait on the left and the contact information on right is very appealing to look at. It also shows off my illustration ability too.
Here's my first mock up of the border. Overall, I think it's effective and still being professional while showing off my personality. The only problem is the legibility of the text in the top corner. Without zooming in you can't really make out what it's saying. When writing my CV I will make sure that the clarity of the text is improved.
Similar to my first one, I put the self portrait in the top left corner and my logo in the top right corner. Although I like this idea, I think it's less professional, but you can clearly see what kind of illustrator I am from the header.
Here's the last mock up for the header. This is more subtle and it has my logo in the top left instead of my side profile. I think this looks more professional. However, the text still isn't legible so I will need to change that going forward with my CV.
