Planning my Creative Statement

Plan

  • What I'd like to include in my bio;
  • freelance illustrator
  • specialise in children's book illustration
  • my illustration style
  • Clients I'd like to work for in 5 years (Penguin, Folio Society, editorial illustration)
  • What projects I'd want. to do in my free time (etsy- prints/ greeting cards, charoty work- Trust Bruce)
  • Maybe do lectures in unis/schools? Teaching?

Creative Statement

I am an established freelance illustrator based in Staffordshire. I specialise in writing and illustrating children’s books. As well as this, I also enjoy designing prints, greeting cards and book covers. During my career I have worked in both editorial illustration and publishing. My most notable works have been with Penguin Random House Publishing and Folio Society. I work with a range of mediums, but I love when I combine both traditional and digital illustration together. In my spare time I help to run the charitable organisation, Trust Bruce Foundation, I contribute to this by managing social media and content creation.
